Flotten BV was founded on the philosophy of Friluftsliv , a Scandinavian concept that emphasizes the connection with nature. It is about enjoying the outdoors in its purest form, without unnecessary luxury, but with all the means to live independently and comfortably. Flotten brings this philosophy to life by offering unique overnight stays on camping rafts, where guests experience the freedom of staying on the water, surrounded by the peace and beauty of nature.

Your role

You are ultimately responsible for the ins and outs of our basecamp in Katwoude. You ensure that everything runs smoothly, from guest experience to maintenance and operational processes. There is a lot of freedom to make independent decisions and contribute to the growth and sustainability of Flotten. In addition, you manage colleagues and ensure good cooperation within the team.

Your responsibilities

Ownership & Responsibility

  • Full autonomy over operational processes within the established objectives.

  • Actively contribute to the growth and development of Flotten by identifying and exploiting new opportunities.

Guest experience

  • Warm and professional reception of guests.

  • Answering emails and questions.

  • Actively respond to feedback and improve guest experiences.

 

Maintenance & operational processes

  • Inspection and maintenance of camping rafts and inventory.

  • Independently resolve malfunctions and calamities.

  • Taking care of claims handling with guests and insurance companies.

  • Flotten acts as a sparring partner and provides support where necessary.

Sustainability & local entrepreneurship

  • Purchase locally and sustainably and collaborate with sustainable suppliers.

  • Taking initiatives that contribute to ecological sustainability.

  • Stimulating expansion, both in number of rafts and new locations.

Flexibility & innovation

  • Room for new insights and improvements.

  • Initiatives are encouraged and rewarded.

Who are you?

  • Independent, enterprising and responsible.

  • Experience in hospitality, tourism or a similar sector.

  • Practically minded and technical insight.

  • Affinity with sustainability and outdoor life.

  • Strong communication skills and guest-oriented.

  • Experience in managing colleagues is an advantage.

  • Living in the region or willing to travel to Katwoude.
